Sugar Ridge, Antigua

Antigua's newest boutique hotel, Sugar Ridge, is nestled into a hillside bordered with sugar cane and close to exquisite palm-lined beaches. Its elevated position captures breathtaking panoramic views over Jolly Beach and Coco Beach, with the Caribbean Sea shimmering in the distance.

The 60 stylish guestrooms are grouped into sets of four, each with natural toned décor, contemporary style furnishings, colonial accents and rich, dark woods. Upper level guest rooms open onto a large veranda and dining deck, whilst lower guest rooms have a private plunge pool.

Guests seeking active pursuits can use the hotel’s state-of-the-art fitness centre or visit nearby Jolly Harbour Marina from where boating excursions, scuba diving and sport fishing trips depart. Those seeking a more relaxed pace can take the hotel’s complimentary shuttle to the palm-fringed powder sand beach or book a holistic therapy in the hotel’s 6000 sq. ft. Aveda Concept Spa.

Dining at Sugar Ridge is a sophisticated affair; Carmichael’s is the hotel’s open air, fine-dining option serving creative fusion cuisine in a hilltop setting; The Sugar Club Restaurant is more laid-back and informal, situated at the heart of the resort and serving Caribbean cuisine with a Mediterranean twist.

Other resort highlights include a yoga and Pilates studio and two freshwater swimming pools, including one with an infinity edge. For romantic couples seeking a low-key luxury in Antigua, Sugar Ridge delivers with a new level of contemporary chic.

Childrens ages 0 - 12 years.

Sugar Ridge is on the west coast of Antigua, a 30-minute transfer V.C. Bird International Airport.
